It's great that you found your way here. We are very happy about every helping hand - no matter if it's setting up or taking down the Open Air, at the bar or hyping this insane day on social media.

The Glacis Open Air (short: GLOA; event date: 22.07.2023) is an open air that lives on heart blood, creativity and voluntary commitment. We, the cultural collective, organize, plan and design this 1-day showcase open air together in our spare time.

Support us and make the GLOA what it is! You can support us in many different ways and on every field. On the actual Open Air day, of course, the most helpers are needed for the various areas.

And if you are hooked and can't get enough of the GLOA, then you are welcome to help us on the days before and the day after the Open Air with the set-up or dismantling.

ASSEMBLY AND DISASSEMBLY

You will receive work gloves, many self-designed decoration elements and an empty park. Together with our team you can actively shape the GLACIS OPEN AIR. And afterwards we will pack everything up again together. You know it:
Many hands, quick end. With your superpowers, we'll finish faster, that's for sure.

AWARENESS

In order for everyone to feel comfortable at the Open-Air, we want to do awareness work. By awareness we mean the awareness and attention for situations in which the boundaries of others are or have been crossed. All forms of discrimination and (sexualized) violence can play a role in this, but it is also about sensitivity for the well-being of a person. Previous experience is great, but not a prerequisite. In a workshop we will train you in the basics in advance.

BAR

More than just pushing bottles from A to B. In the process, you get to know more than just nice fizzy drinks on the other side of the counter. Mental arithmetic, cashing up, sorting. Staying cool in the refrigerated trailer? You've come to the right place. 🍾🥤🍺 We think it's just as clean as a whistle.

‍CLEAN-UP

You'll be out and about in the meadows with an electric trailer or a cargo bike, collecting empties, making sure the trash cans are empty, and cleaning the toilet paper 🧻. A lot of good karma is waiting for you with all these cleanliness to-dos.

‍GUARDS

Here the focus is on order and a smooth event flow. You support the security and are the contact person for the guests on site. With our briefing, your cell phone and a vest, you are ready for #SchutzUndOrdnung on the premises! Guards who are at the start between 8 p.m. and midnight are especially in demand.

‍INFOPOINT

You want to talk to the guests, you can quickly get an overview and you want the full 👀 insight into what is going on when and where with us? We'll give you THE PLAN and media equipment that will make you a full GLOA professional in no time and rarely leave any questions unanswered.

MEDIA

If you want to let off steam creatively, the media sector is the right place for you. As a photographer, videographer, content creator or blogger, you will ensure that an unforgettable day remains unforgettable and show first-hand what can be conjured up when everyone pitches in.

‍💜 All volunteers are fed, insured and showered with gratitude. With your commitment, you directly support the culture of your city.

💜 If you need a confirmation that you have volunteered at the GLACIS OPEN AIR 2023 (e.g. for crediting in your studies) - no problem - we will be happy to provide you with it.
